Festival of Tolerance Collateral

We received some additional photos of our design for 8th Festival of Tolerance - JFF Zagreb, and 20th Anniversary of Schindler's List on Behance. We designed the collateral in collaboration with Havas Worldwide, Zargeb.

Lettering Large reviewed in Novum Magazine

The June 2014 issue of German magazine “NOVUM: World of Graphic Design” has published a story on Steve Heller and my book "Lettering Large", with Herbert Lechner’s interview with me.

Art in Dark Times

"Art in Dark Times" is an exhibition of 101 press cartoons from all perspectives on the Yugoslav conflicts drawn by 34 renowned cartoonists and illustrators from the former Yugoslavia.

The show will be exhibited in Sarajevo from May 14th to 24th 2014 at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from June 04th to 12th in Zagreb at the Student Centre and from June 17th to 28th in Belgrade at Mikser House.

For the show they selected my cover illustration "Dogs of War" from The New York Times Book Review from January 21st, 1996.

This is not the first time that the illustration is being shown on the territory of ex-Yugoslavia.

In March 2005 for my one-man show in Museum of History of Yugoslavia in Belgrade, Serbia, organized and curated by Anica Tucakov. Graphic designer Aleksandar Maćašev created the banner for the show between else by placing the letter "ć", my logo, on the helmet of the Dog of War.

People that weren't familiar with my logo were complaining, thinking that it was a letter "č".

Satirical Theatre Kerempuh 50th Anniversary

We were asked recently to designed the logo for the 50th Anniversary of Satirical Theatre Kerempuh. The theatre is known for staging the satirical and political comedies. To stay in that spirit fo the theatre, we decided to "deface" their original logo by tallying fifty years over it, as a prisoner (political?) or a stranded person would do. 

Because the "defacing" looks like graffiti and knowing that the logo will be used for billboards and posters, we intentionally left large white areas to encourage people to show "their creativity".

Graphic Design x 100

The new book "Graphic Design x 100", by Dorian Lucas, featuring 100 graphic designers from around the world, just got published by Braun publishing company from Switzerland.
