Presenting Shakespeare announcement in Glas Slavonije

First announcements of the upcoming book Presenting Shakespeare, by Steven Heller and I are starting to be published. This one is from Glas Slavonije in Croatia.

The only reason which I can see for publishing my photo instead of posters from the book, is the striking similarity in looks between me and King Lear.

"Where Art Happens" Posters Now In Subways

My posters "Where Art Happens" that I recently designed for School of Visual Arts have been posted in subway stations around the city. Here is a photo of one of them:

My Artwork in MoMA collection

I am pleased to announce that MoMA, Museum of Modern Art in New York, included 38 pieces of my artwork in their permanent collection.

They just uploaded on their website the complete listing of my work in their collection. Unfortunately they didn't yet have the time to take appropriate photography of the work, and there are a few mistakes in the captions, but all of that is going to be fixed in another week or so.

My sincere congratulations to Mihajlo Arsovski and especially to Arsen Dedić for accepting such a beautiful and unconventional design for his cover!

Lecture on Lettering Large at Princeton University

I will be giving a lecture about Steve Heller and my book "Lettering Large" on September 24th at 6pm, at Friend Center for Engineering Education, Princeton University, William St, Princeton, NJ.

"Where Art Happens" SVA Subway Poster Series

On August 17th, my newest SVA poster series will be posted in New York City subway stations. 

The posters here are shown in RGB colors, otherwise they are printed in 

three different fluorescent colors.

Roman Cieslewicz: Beautiful Traces 1961-1995

For the show "Roman Cieslewicz: Beautiful Traces 1961-1995" at the gallery of Croatian Design Society in 2012, Goran Martin Štimac recorded the interviews with people who worked with Roman Cieslewicz on the re/design of Croatian magazine Start. Among others, they interviewed Fadil Vejzovic, who was at that time the art director of the magazine. 10:24 into the interview he is mentioning the first meeting between Roman Cieslewicz and I. According to Fadil, and not to my previous knowledge, the meeting was quite tense, for Roman Cieslewicz.

Unfortunately for my English speaking friends, I am unable to provide an accurate translation of the interview.
