W Magazine: Art of the Protest Sign
W Magazine, in their new article "The New Art of Protest Signs In Trump's America" has a few of my thoughts about the design of protest signs.
Here's one of them:
“It’s very sweet that today, in a time when you can print better and cheaper than ever and everyone has access to printing, people decide to get markers and oils and paints and write signs in their own handwriting," said Ilic. "It’s not mechanical; it’s you. It’s your signature, and you sign off on that sign by doing it by hand.”

Rip Kirby Comics by John Prentice
I have quite a few originals of Rip Kirby comics by John Prentice, but I still decided to acquire this particular comic from 1967.
I did this not only because I read it when I was a kid, but also because I was fascinated with the simple trick of positioning of Desmond's feet. By doing this Prentice suggests that he doesn't have control over his body, that he is sleepwalking.
