After many years in the darkness of storage Boris Bućan's poster for the "Nabucco" opera by Verdi finally sees the light of day. The poster was created in 1983 for the Croatian National Theatre in Split, Croatia.
At that time we worked side by side at Sitotisak Studentskog Centra (a silkscreen printshop) in Zagreb, Croatia. Of course he was working on bigger projects, literally, and I was working on smaller ones. I remember looking over his shoulder while he was working on "Nabucco". I was jealous of his ingenious design.
Exactly 40 years later, it is still an amazing design and I am still jealous.
