Madrid Grafica '17
DIMAD with the Madrid City Council just announced a call for entry for their festival Madrid Grafica '17 competition the theme is 'The Light City'.
The event will take place between September and October 2017
Ivan Chermayeff, Alejandro Magallanes, Alain LE Quernec, Pekka Loiri, Carmelo Di Bartolo, and I will all be judges for the posters.
They invited the judges to create their own posters following the same theme.
My poster you can see below and the statement that goes along with it:
"Millions of people come to New York to see skyscrapers but because of them they cannot see the sky. As Lou Reed said in his song, Open House, “but there are no stars in the New York sky, They’re all on the ground.” In future modern cities the light will coming from below not from above."
You can get more information see more posters with the links here and here.
