Start Magazine

A friend of mine and famous Croatian photographer, Željko Koprolčec, came across an issue of Croatian Start magazine from 1978 containing the first illustration I did
for them.
The subject of the illustration was about people worrying their personal information would be shared through the 11,000 computers in the entire United States.
This illustration was the first of hundreds I did for Start from 1978 to 1985. Some of them are probably my best pen and ink illustrations I’ve done (this one is not one of those). For that, I am grateful for the opportunity I was given by the editors and art directors at Start.

The window decals for "Presenting Shakespeare: Much Ado About Posters" show are up!

Las Fallas

The Las Fallas celebration dates back to the Middle Ages when excess winter supplies were torched in an equivalent to a spring cleaning. Today's rendition takes a more grandiose approach, paying homage to Spain's history and culture with spectacular displays of pyrotechnics.
My illustration of Justice and Liberty was turned into a 10 foot statue and featured among many pieces of art at the celebration.
Of course it would have been nice if they asked me for permission and sent a few images. These I found just by chance.
