I am pleased to share with you this episode of the 2023 documentary television show “Moderna Vremena” (”Modern Times”) authored by Dubravko Merlić. The series aired in 2023, but I didn’t get this link to share it with you all until now. This is the sixth episode, dedicated to design in the 1980s in Croatia. The segment about my work begins at 30:50.
Unfortunately, the show is in Croatian, so my Croatian viewers will have to deal with being able to understand what I’m saying.

MSNBC News Blast from the Past
Watching David Cay Johnston, a Pulitzer-winning author, discuss Trump's financial troubles on MSNBC News last night, I suddenly noticed something familiar. On his bookshelves, he was displaying three books: Perfectly Legal, Free Lunch, and The Fine Print. These are all book for which I created the illustrations fifteen or twenty years ago. A blast from the past.
At that time, I illustrated the covers of many political and economic books, mainly for Penguin Books. You can see some of them here and here.
Those books were art-directed and designed by Joseph Perez.

Roman Cieslewicz: Beautiful Traces 1961-1995
For the show "Roman Cieslewicz: Beautiful Traces 1961-1995" at the gallery of Croatian Design Society in 2012, Goran Martin Štimac recorded the interviews with people who worked with Roman Cieslewicz on the re/design of Croatian magazine Start. Among others, they interviewed Fadil Vejzovic, who was at that time the art director of the magazine. 10:24 into the interview he is mentioning the first meeting between Roman Cieslewicz and I. According to Fadil, and not to my previous knowledge, the meeting was quite tense, for Roman Cieslewicz.
Unfortunately for my English speaking friends, I am unable to provide an accurate translation of the interview.
