The Green Beret - Sunday Edition

I'm not a big fan of the daily comics, especially when they're not cartoons. Somehow there's not enough space for anything. No space to tell the story, no space for composition and drawing. I prefer the Sunday format.

I got myself this The Green Beret daily comic by John Celardo from April 12, 1968 for pure sentimental reasons. When I was young, I was totally fascinated with the stiff drawing of his Tarzan comics. On top of that he studied at School of Visual Arts.

Celardo was drawing Tarzan until January 7, 1968, when Russ Manning took it over. Celardo then succeeded Joe Kubert on Tales of the Green Beret.
