Tolerance Project Inc. Logo by Milton Glaser

As you are probably aware for last two years I have been organizing the traveling Tolerance Poster Show. In two years there have been 42  exhibitions of the show within 22 countries. So far the show has been visited by over 20,000 people. Now I decided to become little be more legitimate and established Tolerance Project Inc. non profit organization.

As with every decent organization, I needed to have logo. Knowing how troubling it is to design a logo for your own company I decided to pass that burden to somebody else. I asked Milton Glaser to design the logo for me.

Here I am proudly presenting to you the logo for Tolerance Project Inc. by Milton Glaser.

Timon by Mihajlo Arsovski

I just acquired this poster for the movie Timon, directed by Tomislav Radic in 1973.
This unusual poster was designed by one of the most famous Croatian graphic designers, Mihajlo Arsovski. He also did the title sequence for this movie.

Lorenzaccio Poster

The poster and billboard for Yugoslav Drama Theater in Belgrade, Serbia's production of Lorenzaccio (Lorencačo) a play written in 1834 by Alfred de Musset.

Lorenzaccio is a play about Italian politician, writer and dramatist Lorenzino de' Medici (1514 – 1548). Lorenzino lured his cousin the Duke Alexandro of Florence into his apartment with the promise of a night of passion then assassinated him with a dagger. Lorenzino acted for political reasons with the goal to free Florence from a man that many considered to be a tyrant. After the assassination, he fled Florence and a few years later two hired killers caught up with him and murdered him in Venice.

Overall, it’s like a Renaissance Game of Thrones.

I decided for this season to use images of profiles.

The Theater Posters Show in Rijeka

Last night I found out that there was an opening of a show of theater posters which I create in the late 70’s and early 80’s in former Yugoslavia.

The show opened at Galerija Kortil in the city of Rijeka, Croatia. It is a part of the 26th International Small Scene Theater Festival of Rijeka.

According to the photos and news coverage of the show, it looks great. Even though it seems to be a solo show, no one had informed me.

Joe Kubert "Winnie Winkle"

I just acquired this Joe Kubert "Winnie Winkle" daily original strip from 1981.

The Kubert Art School took on the creation of the strip, but because of the schools pressure to keep up with the daily art duties, Joe Kubert ended up handling the bulk of the work.
