"Miss 130" by Chiyoji Tomo

Recently acquired, this splash page from Miss 130, a series of soft-core porn manga by Chiyoji Tomo, published by Manga Cobra. I didn’t acquire this spread just because it’s quite well drawn, especially the woman’s feet, but it also has some other charming elements to it.
First is the graphical usage of the Japanese type. The large characters surrounding the scene are meaningless in Japanese and only serve to imitate the sound of people having sex. Second is the clever usage of horizontal lines to create motion/thrust in the image. Third is the strategically positioned splatters of white paint. And fourth is the presentation of hair, not just the woman’s hairstyle, but particularly the whimsical presentation of hair on the man’s body.
Hair on a man doesn’t appear very often on comic heroes unless they are villains. One of the rare, hairy comic heroes was Rip Kirby

Nezumi by Mamoru Uchiyama

My recent acquisition is this page of manga Nezumi (chapter 3) by Mamoru Uchiyama from 1999. I bought this page not only because it's drawn well, but also because I have never seen in comics somebody giving so much real state to the bottom of a foot. I found it very effective.

"Welcome to Koshu Prison" by Kanzaki Junji

My recent acquisitions: splash tile page and second page from Welcome to Koshu Prison from the Yakuza manga series, drawn by Kanzaki Junji in 1992.

I have quite a few originals from this manga series now. I am fascinated with how this artist is not afraid of using big empty spaces, like this coat, and at the same time, how interestingly he shows the dynamics on the page too
.

Motion by Kanzaki Junji

This is my recent acquisition of manga-comics Ai to Fukushuu no Banka (Eternal song of love and revenge) Crime Yakuza story published in Weekly Manga Sunday in 2003, drawn by Kanzaki Junji.

I did not buy this because he is the most amazing manga artist but because he is quite effective drawing of motion/fighting.

I just recently acquired these two Japanese manga comic original pages. The first one is the final page from a book Ai to Fukushuu no Banka (Eternal song of love and revenge) Crime Yakuza story, published in Weekly Manga Sunday in 2003 and draw by Kanzaki Junji. It is very interesting how much extra drawing is created beyond the margins of the book.

And the second original is a page from Hungry Taiyou published in Weekly Manga Sunday in 2002and draw by Tomoo Kimura.
