"This Is What I Have Learned" Milton Glaser Show

I’m pleased to let you know that on the 31st of August, the Milton Glaser show, “This Is What I Have Learned,” opened at the Museum of Modern Art of the University of Mostar and will remain open until the 18th of September.

‘The exhibition "This Is What I Have Learned", dedicated to the author of the cult identity I<3NY, concluded the jubilee 15th edition of the Street Arts Festival Mostar. After ten days of artistic and OFF programs, the finale brought a special meeting of street art, contemporary design, and the museum scene. The 15th edition of the Street Arts Festival Mostar concluded at the Museum of Modern Art of the University of Mostar with the exhibition "This Is What I Have Learned", dedicated to Milton Glaser, one of the most influential American graphic designers of the 20th century. 40 of Glaser's posters and visual solutions from the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska (MSURS) were presented in Mostar, along with a selection of his texts and thoughts on art, design, and the responsibility of visual communication. These are works donated to MSURS by Mirko Ilić, one of the most significant designers and illustrators from this region and Glaser's long-time collaborator and friend.’

"Nightmares and Daydreams: A.C. 2020" Opening Night

I’m pleased to share with you a few photos from the opening of Nightmares and Daydreams: A.C. 2020, a show promoting the publication of my new book of the same title. The show was held at The Coningsby Gallery with the support of the owner, Andrew Coningsby, and the book’s publisher, Emma Hayley, of SelfMadeHero.

Also in attendance was celebrated illustrator and comic artist David McKean, who wrote the book's afterword.

My Work in "I am Jugoslovenka!" Book

I recently received the Slovenian version of the book “‘I am Jugoslovenka!’: Feminist performance politics during and after Yugoslav Socialism” by Jasmina Tumbas.

‘“I am Jugoslovenka” argues that queer-feminist artistic and political resistance were paradoxically enabled by socialist Yugoslavia’s unique history of patriarchy and women’s emancipation. Spanning performance and conceptual art, video works, film and pop music, lesbian activism and press photos of female snipers in the Yugoslav wars, the book analyses feminist resistance in a range of performative actions that manifest the radical embodiment of Yugoslavia’s anti-fascist, transnational and feminist legacies. It covers celebrated and lesser-known artists from the 1970s to today, including Marina Abramovic, Sanja Ivekovic, Vlasta Delimar, Tanja Ostojic, Selma Selman and Helena Janecic, along with music legends Lepa Brena and Esma Redžepova. “I am Jugoslovenka” tells a unique story of women’s resistance through the intersection of feminism, socialism and nationalism in East European visual culture."’

I’m pleased that one of my posters and illustrations, which I created in former Yugoslavia between 1979 and 1981, are included in the book.

Hedda Gabler Selected for the International Poster Biennial in Mexico

I am pleased to let you know that my poster Hedda Gabler for the JDP-Yugoslav Drama Theater in Belgrade, Serbia was selected for the Official Selection of the 19th International Poster Biennial in Mexico.

Nightmares and Daydreams: A.C. 2020 Available For Pre-Order

I am pleased to let you know that, I’ve just received the first copies of my series of visual essays “A.C. 2020,” which has been collected and published for the first time for a worldwide audience as “Nightmares and Daydreams: A.C. 2020.”

Featuring a new foreword by Steven Heller and a new afterword by Dave McKean, the new English-language edition by U.K.-based publisher SelfMadeHero will be available exclusively in hardcover. The series was originally published in Croatian in 2025.
