No Words Posters

New book by Armando Milani,
No Words Posters  published by Rochester Institute of Technology Press, is a collection
of nearly 200 posters by over 100 designers from around the world.
Milani has selectively gathered a visual repertoire of images that transcend the
written word to deliver a unique perspective
on social issues.

I am very pleased that several of my images are featured in the book.

Becoming a Graphic & Digital Designer

Veronique Vienne and Steve Heller just published the 5th edition of Becoming a Graphic & Digital Designer, A guide to Careers in Design.

"Becoming a Graphic and Digital Designer is a single source guide to the myriad of options available to those pursuing a graphic design career. With an emphasis on portfolio requirements and job opportunities, this guide helps both students and individuals interested
in entering the design field prepare for
successful careers.
Coverage includes design inspiration, design genres, and design education, with discussion
of the specific career options available in print, interactive, and motion design."

I am honored that my work and interview are included in the book.

In the last two weeks the Croatian TV station HRT3 has broadcast two part interview with me
as a part of their Trikultura show. Below are the links to the interviews:

Part 1

Part 2

For all of  you who do not speak Croatian - don't worry, you didn't miss much.

The Lion, poster

I just finished a poster illustration for The Lion, A Personal Musical Journey
written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer at Arena Stage theater in Washington DC.
The poster is art directed by Nicky Lindeman.

"It only takes 70 minutes for singer/songwriter Benjamin Scheuer to win your heart and then
break it in the acclaimed new one-man-musical The LionThrough song, Scheuer tells the story
of his complicated relationship with his late father and his own battle with cancer at age 29.
Yes, it’s heavy but it’s just fantastic."  —

Graphic Style Lab

In his new book Graphic Style Lab, Develop Your Own Style With 50 Hands-On Experiences, Steve Heller is posing questions "Should I have a personal style?", "What is style?" and "Is it right to borrow styles?"

I don't know exactly which one of these questions is answered by entry no. 50, my poster "Design, Money and..." designed for a lecture at AIGA Dallas/Fort Worth in 2010, but here it is.
