Modesty Blaise (Galley Slaves) by Jim Holdaway

I acquired these two comic strips of Modesty Blaise (Galley Slaves) from 1968 by Jim Holdaway not only because I had the unique chance to buy two sequential strips but also because of the drawing of the warship. Despite being painted as a minimalistic geometric abstraction, the warship is still completely realistic and convincing.

More of Modesty Blaise from my collection herehere, here and here.

  1. Jim’s craft is indeed convincing. You’re lucky to get your hands on that historic beauty. I even covered the realism of that ship on my experience reports in college that got organized by experts that I decided to pay to do my coursework online uk based. Plus, with top grades leaving me free time, I might even get one piece of Jim for myself.
